#Occupy Farmland

“Hey John…Thank you. You have given so much with TTMJ and the CFFB site, it has had a profound impact on my life. Suffice it to say I went from a 180# off of traditional CF programming to 208# off of CFFB from August 2011 to the present. My CFFB total has evolved from below 1000 to 1335 for the latest one on the site (Post-#OS Chicago), in which every single lift was a PR (PC 240, SQ 365, BP 230, DL 500). Your site is an invaluable resource, and the shit works, period. Thank you for giving us a small glimmer if what it is like to be “Welbourn Strong”. I will be seeing you soon as I am bringing a group to get their cert’s at the Bloomington-Normal weekend… Read More »

Making It Work

“To facilitate this, I’ve put together a fully functional CFFB garage gym. The amazing thing (IMHO) is that I’ve managed to fit it all into a 115 square foot (11’ x 10’ 6”) space in my 1-car garage. I also store a rolling toolbox, 4 bicycles, 2 motorcycles and some typical garage stuff in there. I know some people struggle with finding a place to work out, so I thought this might be useful or inspiring to those who might have a small space at home and can only afford a small stipend with which to buy equipment… Read More »

Persistence & Determination

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, ‘press on’ has solved, and always will solve, the problems of the human race… Read More »

Cougars & Football

“I’m an assistant football coach at Kean University. I coach the defensive life and am involved with strength and conditioning program. This spring and summer, I incorporated much of your programming from the website into the football program. The kids love it and really pushed themselves. Yesterday, we upset the #3 team in the nation in a nail biter… Read More »

Praise from CrossFitters

“What is important about this is by using CF Football it allowed for better periodization, tapering and peaking for competition. No one can stay on the razors edge of fitness all year long. If Crossfit is your sport I think one of the ways to approach your year long training program is to use CFF as your strength base in the off season… Read More »

Paleo Comfort Foods

“A few weeks later, I received an advance copy of their book in the mail. You guys might not know this, but I like to barbeque. So much so I have a gas grill for the days when I am in the hurry and for the other 99% of the time I use a ceramic barbeque/smoker called a Big Green Egg. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Egg, it makes someone who is decent at the grill into a Food Network star. When I use the egg, I feel like I should have my own cooking show… Read More »

Are big traps part of the deal?

“I have been following CFFB for 15 months and can’t begin to describe the rapid success I’ve had with your program. My power clean has increased more than 100 lbs, my squat has gone up 70 lbs, my bench is up 25 lbs, and my deadlift is up about 120 lbs since I first started… Read More »

Rad

“John, attached is a picture of me pulling 424 lbs at a body weight of 158 lbs at a USAPL competition yesterday. I won the 165 lbs junior and open raw weight-classes, and set new California state records for the Squat, Bench, Deadlift, and total for the 165 lbs junior weight class… Read More »
